Enter your typical daily commute (in kilometres), your vehicle's fuel efficiency, and the calculator estimates monthly fuel consumption. It then multiplies by the current OGRA-notified petrol or diesel price to give you a monthly cost — and shows how much more (or less) you're paying compared to a base reference price.

Prices are pulled from OGRA's official notifications, which are updated with each fortnightly revision. We track every revision and surface the latest one automatically.

OGRA reviews fuel prices roughly every 15 days (twice a month). A new notification is issued when the underlying inputs — international crude price, USD/PKR rate, and government levies — have shifted enough to warrant a change.

Petrol (MS-92) and high-speed diesel (HSD) are priced separately. Diesel typically carries a higher petroleum levy and is heavily used by commercial transport, so changes in diesel prices feed quickly into food and freight costs.

Two reasons: (1) OGRA notified prices change every two weeks, and (2) you may drive more in some months. The calculator uses the current notified price — so the same commute pattern can cost more or less depending on where prices sit that fortnight.
